Central Inverter Testing

The pursuit of green and low-carbon development has become a global consensus. Many countries worldwide have explicitly outlined their goals. Central inverters typically feature power ratings above 500kW, with their actual test input and grid-connected power being even higher, and are

mainly used in large-scale above-ground centralized photovoltaic power stations with uniform illumination. Facing the growing testing demands of central inverters, Kewell has launched testing equipment that integrates high power density, high efficiency, and fast dynamic response. On the DC side, it supports simulation of the I-V curve of solar arrays and accurate simulation of photovoltaic characteristics, with built-in standard models including EN50530 and Sandia. On the AC side, it supports power quality tests such as three-phase unbalance and harmonic superposition, as well as high and low voltage ride-through test, providing a simpler testing platform with lower costs. Kewell’s PV testing solutions support around-the-clock simulations for inverter power generation and grid-connection across different scenarios, utilizing high-power/ultra-high-voltage test power supplies to simulate large-scale PV arrays and grid with higher voltage levels, meeting the requirements of PV industry customers and testing institutions.
