String Inverter Testing

The current market is dominated by string PV inverters, which typically have a power rating of less than 100KW. They operate by performing MPPT individually on multiple photovoltaic modules and then connecting to the grid via string inverters, there by achieving higher power generation efficiency. These inverters are mainly used in smaller distributed PV power stations. In response to string inverter testing, Kewell has launched test equipment with high accuracy, fast dynamic response, and high efficiency. On the DC side, it supports functions such as dynamic and static MPPT testing, simulation of I-V curves of solar array, and precise simulation of photovoltaic characteristics. On the AC side, it supports power quality tests including three phase unbalance and harmonic superposition, as well as high and low voltage ride-through tests. Kewell's string inverter test solution employs high-precision, high-efficiency power supplies to accurately simulate various types of modules and grid characteristics across different regions, enabling precise testing for string inverters.
